BFP!!!

Big Fat Positive! We're pregnant!

Our adventure began on June 19th, my first preconception appointment. Everything went really well! However, my glucose was a little high. I had to go back for a glucose tolerance test, but it was just a fluke. I was so thankful. Because of my hypertension, I also had to go to Cabell Huntington's Perinatal Hypertension Clinic. There, they changed my blood pressure medications. It took me awhile to adjust to the new medications, but I now feel better than I did on my regular medication! I had appointments at the hypertension clinic on August 4th and August 25th.

On September 7th, I took a pregnancy test. (Actually, two of them.) I was only a day late, but I had already noticed some changes with my body. I thought I'd take one just for the fun of it. I was a lil unsure about the first test because the "pregnant" line was a very light pink when compared to the "not pregnant" line. I thought the test may have been defective. However, the 2nd test showed a result of "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". After the longest 3 minutes of my life, I held up a pregnancy test that said "Pregnant". I was thrilled!

Right now I feel perfectly normal, except for the extreme tenderness in my breasts. Oh, and the fact that I've been sick now for about a week. I think it started out as a sinus infection, but it seems to be getting worse. Hope it passes quickly.

Our first appointment is September 23rd with a nurse. And then on October 6th, we have our first appointment with the doctor!

We feel so blessed, and we're just so excited about what lies ahead.
