The appointment with the nutritionist went sooo much better than I had anticipated. I left feeling like it was something I could do, especially since it's what's best for our baby girl. My new diet consists of eating 3 meals and 3 snacks each day. My goal is to eat smaller meals more often. My carb breakdown for the day is:
Breakfast 30 g
Morning Snack 30 g
Lunch 45 g
Afternoon Snack 30 g
Dinner 45 g
Bedtime Snack 30 g
I have to make sure that I balance each carb intake during the day with protein. Looks like I'm going to be eating lots of cheese!
I was also super nervous about testing my blood sugar. My glucometer is really small and it's pink! haha. I've really surprised myself with how well I'm doing with it. I was super nervous the first time...the dietitian even commented on how sweaty my hands were! It's not really bothering me now though...it's amazing the things a person can do for someone he/she loves! Madison gives me strength! I love how this little dancing queen inside my belly makes me stronger. :-)
Matt's being so encouraging about my new diet and daily routine. I'm so thankful to have such a supportive husband. He takes such good care of us! :-)
